Tourism North revamps Northern Manitoba Regional Tourism Guide for 2014!

Northern MB, June 2014 - Tourism North MB, the regional tourism association in northern Manitoba has been busy over the past several months creating the fourth edition of the Northern Manitoba Regional Tourism Guide.  Through an RFP process, Tourism North contracted the Winnipeg Free Press to do the design and printing of the guide.  “The Winnipeg Free Press team did a fantastic job on the layout of the guide, ad creation and incorporating the new Travel MB brand (Manitoba: Canada’s Heart Beats), we’re absolutely thrilled with the new look of the guide” noted Charlene Kissick, Tourism North Coordinator. 

The guide includes sections on Summer Adventures, Winter Adventures, Inspiring Places, Lively Gatherings, Historic Places, Immersive Culture, Inspiring Places and Museums & Visitor Centres.  Also included are sample itineraries, community pages, information on snowmobiling in the north, golf courses and listings of events, outfitters & tourism operators, transportation, restaurants and accommodations.

Bunny Burke, Tourism North Chairperson notes “The 2014 Northern MB Regional Tourism Guide is packed with information to make travelling through the north more memorable, we don’t want you to miss a thing!”  Visitors and residents can download a copy of the guide directly from the Tourism North website ( or contact the Tourism North coordinator to ask specific questions - 204-677-1494 or”  The Guide will be available for pick up (FREE!) at Travel MB Visitor Centres throughout the province, at museums, hotels and tourists kiosks throughout northern MB or Tourism North would be happy to mail out copies to individuals who are looking for trip planning ideas. In addition, Tourism North partners from time-to-time have the opportunity to participate in trade shows where guides are distributed. 10,000 copies of the guide are being printed.
