This all-day event begins with a sunrise ceremony at daybreak on Sunday, June 21st, 2015.  Thompson's MacLean Park is transformed with a tipi, tents, food booths and artist & crafter displays.

The afternoon begins with the Grand Entry at 1:00 pm, greetings and launch of the Thompson Aboriginal Accord progress report with a 25 year reflection for the former MLA Elijah Harper. In the spirit of feasting - a community BBQ is held at City Hall and the Manitoba Metis Federation will be hosting a Fish Fry fundraiser from 11:00 - 2:00 pm.  Then comes pow wow demonstration, entertainment, talent show, traditional adult games and contests (jigging, log sawing, goose calling, moose calling, trap setting, etc.).

The evening includes more entertainment, the Soaring Eagle Awards (recognizing outstanding Aboriginal people in the categories of Youth, Adult and Elder), closing remarks and retiring of the flags.  All events are free to attend and open to all and every aspect of the day is themed around celebrating culture, tradition and community.
